Jared, Thank you for your podcasts they are great. The discussions are what I need. I am in year 5 or so in my faith crisis. You and Dan Wotherspoon help keep me strong knowing there are other thinking people who are positive in their faith. Sunday school is a bore for me and this podcast fills in what I need. I really believe in what you are doing in exploring new understanding within Mormon consciousness, so I have taken the step in 10 dollars a month. Keep it up, Your voice on the podcast is a help to heal my sorrow as I struggle in the faith.

Dear Jared,
Thank you for the Mormon Sunday School discussions. Although I do not teach Gospel Doctrine, as a class participant I have used the discussion insights as a way to add supplemental comments and points to my ward’s class. The posts enrich my life, faith, and knowledge—so again, thanks.
I have a concern regarding the current posting schedule—it seems a bit behind. My ward’s Gospel Doctrine class started 5 January with “Lesson One” – “This is My Work and My Glory’. Next week, 12 January, the lesson will be “Lesson Two” – “Thou Wast Chosen Before Thou Wast born”. I understand that no particular class lesson schedule is ‘correct’ or mandated: With just forty-four lessons in the manual, teachers have discretion to spend additional time on specific lessons as needed. Nevertheless, I suspect that the schedule my ward is following at the start of the year is a common one; thus the concern that the Mormon Sunday School pod cast schedule is starting to lag behind that of the populace it is designed to benefit. Would be helpful if future pod casts would continue to appear before the commonly used Sunday School lesson schedule.
Your first four posts for the class year—the overview of the Old Testament, a discussion of the historical Jesus, and the two lessons on “This is My Work and My Glory”—were very enlightening and rewarding. It would have benefited my ward to start with a general overview discussion as well.
Thank you for your rewarding work!

Carol,
Thank you for the kind words. Ideally I like to be 1-2 weeks ahead of all schedules, but it is a struggle to pull ahead! Your schedule seems to make sense, and we published Lesson 1 a few days before it was taught on that schedule. What is even more concerning is that I have heard from some wards who already did Lesson 2!! In short, we will do all we can to create a comfortable buffer.
