048: This Podcast’s for (and about) you!

   This is your podcast

A few months ago we put together a survey to find out who is listening to the podcast. We wanted to get to know you better, find out who you are, how you use the podcast, and what you thought of it. We wanted to know what we are doing well and what we can do better.

After over 400 responses we are ready to make a report! The findings are quite interesting, though I wonder if they are representative since most of the respondents came through facebook and Mormon Stories groups.

In this special episode we will first present and discuss the results of the survey, and then have a conversation with you the listeners by engaging with the comments that were submitted. Enjoy!

Ha! Made your wife laugh (the anarcho-capatilist comment)!

I think you get the liberal comment alot because you allude or straight out say that it is OK for government to take people’s property and distribute it to others – which is what many people on the right (conservative) or center (libertarian) people have a problem with. I think most people do want to be charitable, just on how to be charitable is what people argue over. That and your general tone is more liberal – which isn’t a bad thing.

If you ever do an update on this survey you can put me in the atheist camp. Of course, I don’t know how long I will be interested in listening to these podcasts. But keep up the good insightful work.
