It is a shame we shorten this phrase to “The only true Church”, because I think “living” is a very important part of the statement. What does it mean to say the LDS Church is the “only true and living Church”? How do our Heavenly Parents interact with their children? What is the relationship between the different religions of the world? Why does it matter if we are a member of one religion rather than another?

Jared, listening to you has motivated me to try to start going back to church. The recent April General Conference felt a bit stale to me and, after learning about some of the inner workings of Salt Lake City, I was feeling too overwhelmed with even think about being more active in the church. But after listening to this episode, I feel the Lord is telling you’ll be all right, everything in the long run will work out fine.
