271.1: Pre-Existence and Book of Abraham (OT Gospel Doctrine Lesson 2, Updated)

“Thou Wast Chosen Before Thou Wast Born”

The Plan of Salvation has been described as a “three act play”, and we could add that all of them are full of drama. We read about “noble and great” and “chosen” ones in the pre-existence, and wonder where we fit in. This update covers the following topics, and concludes that we choose every day to make our lives chosen, noble, and great.

  1. What is the Book of Abraham and why does it matter?
  2. The Pre-existence
  3. Foreordination vs. Predestination
  4. “Noble and great ones”
  5. Agency across the Plan of Salvation
  6. War in heaven
  7. Living chosen

“Choose Life Now” Thank you for all comments, this one in particular. With such a “motto” prevalent on the Sacred Ground of one’s mind consciousness is “built in” from one’s first awakening in the morning … “Get up and get at it” vs “Sleep in.” Once awake and going “What do I have to do that should be done, and can be done TODAY (instead of procrastinating). Diligence/Energy replace sloth. Courage replaces fear. Self worth replaces self deprecation. Again, Thank You.

I appreciate your comments! This motto is easy to support, but I like everyone else am working hard to practice and apply it day to day!
